Today's journal prompt was to find and photograph 5 items that I would rescue if I had to leave my home suddenly and describe why, so here they are!

1) My Laptop

I would rescue my laptop because it holds all of my important files and allows me to do more than my phone would if I was forced to leave abruptly. Not to mention that it was expensive and if I was pressed for money I could sell it. (This one is practical, not sentimental)

2) My Phone

I would rescue my phone because my entire life is on there; my photos, my contacts (I have like 2 numbers memorized), my text messages, my socials, etc. Not to mention that if I was forced to leave suddenly I would likely need to contact someone and a phone is the easiest way to do that. (feat. Karri on my phone screen)

3) Frederick

When I had my knee surgery in the 9th grade my best friend Zoe gifted me this teddy bear for comfort because medical stuff makes me anxious. Since then, it has been there for me through panic attacks, crisis', and heartbreak; not to mention that it reminds me of her and how much she cares for me.

4) My Rings

These rings were a gift from my godmother Lynelle for my high school graduation. The ring on the left has different shades of my birthstone (garnet) and the one on the right is a moonstone surrounded by topaz, which is my godmother's birthstone. She's a major role-model in my life which makes those rings that much more important to me.

5) My Pearls

On my sixteenth birthday my grandparents gave me these earrings as a symbol of adulthood and maturity. I wear them all the time and they're very important to me which is why I would save them, but only if it's one of the unlikely times I'm not wearing them.
